How's everyone doing?
It's been awhile since I last posted here on the forum. I hope everyone is well. And I also hope this last year has treated everyone fairly spectacularly. '08 was a rather wild trip for me. Wild in an absurd H>S>F from 6/9/77 kind of way.
Or a face melting 6/18/74, "thank you sir may I please have another" kind of way.

Listening to a little Scarlet/Fire from 5/4/77 right now. The Archive is still the best site on the web. All this music at our fingertips.

Peace.

Hey, I'm glad to hear things are going well for you. Part of my strange trip this year included packing up the family and moving to Tennessee(hills that is) 2500 miles of Grateful Dead music, with a couple of hours of Elvis thrown in after rolling through Memphis.

I lost your address in my move. I was using sbcglobal as an internet company and when I canceled with them they canceled my email account. I lost all my mails and my contacts. A little warning would have been nice. But, oh well.

If you're interested in a few choice shows from '76 shoot me an email.

Peace.

Unfortunately it hasn't been a stellar year for collecting Sabbath boots. I got a King Biscuit show from '77 and '78 and the sound quality was great but the years of album/tour/drug abuse had really taken their toll. Playing wise they just sounded lost.
Then I got a show from '74 that said it was a SBD, but the sound wasn't listenable. No drums, no bass and when Ozzy would start singing you couldn't hear the guitar. There was a point in the show where Ozzy says "we're gonna play a new song for you. This one's called Children of the Grave." About 30 seconds later he says, "oh." Poor Ozzy had to have been mighty messed up, not only was Children not a new song, it was two albums prior to the tour they were on.

But on the flip side of that, it's been a bumper crop this year with all the new CM's and matrix's that have come around.

Peace.

I have to thank you Arbuthnot, I believe you were the benefactor of my downloading a show or two over at LL.
Thanks again and peace.

To each his own. It's obvious that you are traveling "on up the road of hairy" while I am traveling "along the road of bald spot."
Either way, I hope your ventures take you to today's show of
http://www.archive.org/details/gd70-01-02.early-late.sbd.cotsman.18120.sbeok.shnf

I'm not sure what "CUMBERLISIOUS!" is from gruUbic, or what "Dripping with shagadelics" from Laugh Riot means but, this show is smokin' to say the least.

And while you're listening, you may want to open a new tab and peruse www.dictionary.com. Bone up a little on your spelling of 'averege'

Peace and love.
